Sizes and codes
Dimensions and designations follow IEC 60086 (primary batteries) and the matching ANSI codes. Equivalent codes come from manufacturers' published cross-reference lists (Energizer, Duracell, Panasonic, Maxell, Renata, Varta).
Capacity
Capacities are typical values from manufacturer datasheets at low drain. Real capacity varies by brand, temperature and current, so pages show them as approximate.
Can one battery replace another?
Our verdicts follow simple physical rules: the replacement must have the same diameter and a compatible voltage. Same size and voltage is a direct swap; a thinner cell of the same diameter may work short-term but can lose contact; a thicker one or a different voltage is a no. Rechargeable lithium-ion cells are flagged because they run at up to 4.2 V.
Devices and key fobs
Device and key fob entries come from manufacturers' manuals and support pages and list the size most models use. Models change, so the code on your old battery always wins.
